(Phnom Penh): On the morning of Wednesday, 10 December 2025, Her Excellency CHAM Nimul, Minister of Commerce, received a courtesy call from His Excellency CHRISTIAN DesRoches, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Canada to the Kingdom of Cambodia, and colleague.

To begin, Her Excellency Minister warmly welcomed His Excellency Ambassador on his mission to strengthen and expand Cambodia–Canada bilateral relations across all sectors. Her Excellency Minister also highlighted the progress in bilateral trade and cooperation, particularly in promoting business linkages between the two countries in the areas of trade, investment, education, technology, and digitalization.

In response, His Excellency Ambassador expressed his appreciation for the strong diplomatic and economic relations between the two countries and reaffirmed Canada’s commitment to continued cooperation and support. He further emphasized his dedication to encouraging greater trade and investment flows through business-matching initiatives between Cambodia and Canada, which will help expand trade volume and further strengthen economic and trade relations.
